UVB-76 Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout Series
A torrent of radio static is interrupted by a mysterious buzzing tone and occasionally a voice repeating the names: Dasha, Maksim, Roman, and Elena. UVB-76, also known as "the Buzzer", is a mysterious Russian shortwave radio station that has been broadcasting continuously at 4625 kHz since 1973. Inspired by this cryptic radio transmission, we brewed a massive Imperial Russian Stout and barrel-aged it to perfection.
For the 2019 edition of UVB-76, we have aged half of this pitch black imperial stout in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels and the other half in Cognac Barrels to create 4 unique barrel-aged variations of UVB-76 including:
UVB-76 Dasha is the straight cognac barrel-aged version of UVB-76 with a robust smoothness and roast flavours alongside a hint of chocolate, vanilla, and toffee. Experience the character and depth that the cognac barrels impart on this pitch black imperial stout.
UVB-76 Maksim launches the cognac barrel-aged UVB-76 stout into the stratosphere with toasted coconut and orange on the nose, coconut sweetness and citrus flavours, and a sweet cherry finish.
UVB-76 Roman is the original bourbon barrel-aged UVB-76 Imperial Russian Stout. With rich coffee, dark cocoa, and smoky bourbon notes, this is a bold and beautiful combination of barrels and beer.
UVB-76 Elena is a fan-favourite with layers of decadent flavours built on the bourbon barrel-aged UVB-76 foundation. This enticing stout brings together fresh mint with rich dark chocolate notes and a smoky bourbon finish.
