Explore the decadent world of beer and chocolate pairings with a session hosted by Certified Beer Sommelier and Confectioner Lexi Pham of Crafty Palate who will be joined by Wellington brewer Jeff Wilson. Together they’ll explore some delicious pairings, talk about the concepts and approaches to pairing beer with chocolate, and answer your questions.

➡️ Session #6: A Deep Dive Into Beer’s Main Ingredient

Let’s take a deep dive into the wonders of water. It’s the main ingredient in any beer but it’s an often overlooked part of a beer recipe. Join Wellington brewmaster Marvin Dyck and beer educator Wilma Zondag as they take a look at how water chemistry impacts the aroma, body, and overall flavour profile of beer. They’ll sample some different Wellington beers and discuss how the water chemistry is different for each style and they’ll explore how the water in different regions and parts of the world ties a beer to where it’s brewed.
