Nothing Civil IPA Raises $4,370
November 29, 2021
First released back in the summer of 2020, Nothing Civil IPA is a collaboration with the Lacuna Collective, consisting of poet and beer enthusiast Truth Is ... , beer sommelier Lexi Pham, and Beer.Diversity founder Ren Navarro. Nothing Civil IPA is a liquid protest with powerful artwork and a poem written by Truth that appears on the label. This beer is a call to action, meant to confront white supremacy, racism, and police violence.
With 100% of the profits from this beer going to support Black-operated charities, our most recent release of Nothing Civil IPA raised $4,370 for the Black Health Alliance. This donation will help support the incredible work they are doing to create lasting change in the lives of Black children, families and communities. Driven by ground-breaking research, strong partnerships and caring people, the Black Health Alliance continues to come up with innovative and sustainable solutions to reduce the racial disparities in health outcomes for Black communities across the country.
This donation is in addition to the $5,415 that Nothing Civil IPA raised last year to support Black Lives Matter Canada. This brings the total fundraising for this charity beer to $9,785.
Thank you for helping to support this important initiative, and keep your eyes peeled for a larger-scale LCBO release of Nothing Civil IPA in the fall of 2022. We look forward to continued collaborations with the Lacuna Collective and The Black Health Alliance in the year ahead!
